Welcome to the home of University of Louisville Bowling Team

The University of Louisville is a large public University in Louisville, Ky. The bowling program is a student run program that is competing in it's 7th season this year. Both UofL's Men's & Women's teams made the USBC sectionals this year and the Men's team was a qualifier two previous times. The program has had two individual tournament champions and multiple top 5 finishes in the last few seasons. Both teams are members of the AHIBC conference, the largest conference in all of USBC college bowling and have had multiple All-Conference members.

Start of a New Season: 2012-2013 Season Starts Sept.29-30 in Campbellsville, KY

Start of a new era. Coming off of the programs best finish and a team win at the Bulldog classic, the Cards men’s team plan to reload and make this year even better. The Cards will kick off their season in Campbellsville, KY for the Green River Classic.  The new format has the team down there for 2 days bowling team and baker games. Stay tuned for results.

The Program would like to say good bye to 2 seniors from last year. Mr. Brandon Spears and Mr. John McCarthy III whom both bowled their final college frames in Smyrna. Thank you for all your work.

Cardinals Finish STRONG at USBC Sectionals in Smyrna

Both the Men and Women performed well enough throughout the season to qualify for the USBC Sectionals were the top 4 Men's and Women's teams would qualify for the USBC Nationals. Both teams grinded through the long 64 baker game format. The Women finished 13th in 16 team field and the Men finished 9th in the 20 team field. Both finishes are the programs highest at the Sectionals and the Men were just 80 pins from 6th place.

Jan 28th & 29th 2012: Biggest Weekend EVER in Cardinal Bowling History!

In two different cities the University of Louisville bowling teams had huge performances. In Columbus, OH at the Buckeye Baker Classic the Women's team landed a 4th place finish led by graduate student Robyn Ballinger and Junior Jen Corbett. In Somerset, KY the Men's A team were the Champions of the 1st Bullidog Classic run by Union College. The Men's B Team finished in 3rd place. The Men also placed 6 bowlers in the top 10 and had 2 Bowlers in the top 5 with Freshman Garret Hillerich coming in 5th and Senior John McCarthy being the tournament champion and becoming the 2nd Cardinal this season to win an event.

Bobby Byron Wins the Green River Classic, Cards finish 2nd to Pikeville

Sophomore Bobby Byron came up with a huge performance as he lead the Men's team to a 2nd place finish in Campbellsville Ky. in the Green River Classic. This was Bobby's first career tournament victory, as he become the second UofL bowler to win a college tournament and was his first All Tournament Team. The Cards A team lead most of the day till falling to the hot Pikeville team in baker competition. This was the opening weekend of college bowling across the county and the first tournament for the Young UofL program that featured 5 freshman and 3 sophomore. The Cardinals placed 4 other bowlers from their A & B teams in the top 25 and an addition bowler in the top 10. The tournament was bowled at Phillips Lanes on September 24th on the PBA Shark Pattern.
